It was a tiring but yet enjoyable experience, to stay back in school till 9 everyday, to give our 200% enthusiasm in all that we do, to be efficient and to lead by example. But it was all worth it as we see the freshies integrate into innova, to grow in school culture as well as house spirit. But most importantly to make great friends throughout the orientation. I'm thankful to be given this opportunity to lead and to be part of this orientation. When looking at the freshies interact with each other, I was reminded of what great friends I have made during my orientation as a jc1. Me and my group had lots of fun playing the station games and amazing race together. Watching them from day 1, the quietest bunch I have ever seen, to a bonded team on the 4th day. Thank goodness I have a great partner, debbie, who will always help me in times of need. It was great working with her
. It was awesome watching the hockey guys stepping up to lead and watching them lead a huge group of people touches my heart. I'm truly proud of every single one of them. Taurus did well too, even though they seem sooooo quiet on day 1, they too like us exploded during campfire, with everyone of them having the taurus spirit! It was a pleasure to see how they grow in taurus spirit day by day; I just hope that they will continue to grow in the spirit and to become great friends with each other
. Overall, orientation was real fun! I had a great time with my friends and made new ones as well! Here's wishing everyone a happy chinese new year!
Orientation 2011, DIEMENSION ZORINTHURA!
Genting!
Genting has been quite alright, but Genting with E405 has been amazing. I thank God for giving me this opportunity to go for this trip and to grow closer with my spiritual family. Thank God for his protection throughout the 4 days.
How we end is how we start. I’m glad to have end my year well with E405 and to start my year with E405. More than just entertainment during the trip, it’s more important to fellowship.
It was really a memorable trip which started on the evening of 29th december. The 6 hour bus ride was pretty okay, manage to do lot of things and got some rest.
We spent most the days eating and fellowshipping mainly. We watched a total 3 movies and most of us used that time to rest on the comfortable chair
. There wasn’t really much to shop at Genting, as the things here are pretty expensive.
The second day was the most memorable, with it spent on the outdoor and indoor theme park. The rides were real thrilling especially SPACESHOT! The ride was frighteningly fun, me, pris and jean screamed our way up to the top and scream even louder when we dropped down. I’m glad that I took all the rides, which included corkscrew, flying coaster, viking, cyclone, swing, indoor roller coaster and bumper cars. The rides were real thrilling, actually the first roller coasters that I have been to overseas. We also ate Bakin Robbins, awesome ice cream, especially the cotton candy! So gonna eat it again in Singapore. It was real fun because all of us sat the rides even though some of them were scared to.
We watched a total of 3 movies together, one of which was during the countdown. I felt much better counting down while enjoying the movie than squeezing with the crowd, in fear that our valuables would be stolen.
Goodbye 2010, hello 2011! I had a great time at genting, gonna start 2011 well and be a good finisher!
IJ Hockey 10/11
Promoted! JC2 here I come!
YES!!! after a sleepless night and a dreadful morning, finally i was informed that I am promoted to JC2! I’m very thankful for God, my friends and also my teachers. I was very elated upon receiving my results, glad that most of my classmates did make it.
However, I feel pretty sad at the same time. Many of my friends didn’t manage to promote to jc2, it’s really saddening because we don’t share the same route any longer. The worst thing is that i can’t do anything much to help them, how i wish something can be done. About 5 of the hockey boys didn’t get promoted, hoping that all the boys are feeling alright right now.
It’s really time to move on, to step up, climb higher. Time to redo my tutorials, get back to studying mode. FOCUS on the things which i value also.

Potter
What is the thing that you hold deeply in life?
Was your first thought actually supposed to be what you are meant to be holding deeply of? Is that the main importance in our lives?
I need to learn have a better value system, knowing what’s the key priority may very well tell the life that I want to lead. How we value the things in our lives may determine our attitude, our character and most importantly the purpose in our lives.
You are the Potter and I am the clay, mould me in Your ways.
Now is the time
As the year comes to an end, I’m starting to reflect of what I have really done in 2010. I ponder about what have I accomplished throughout this year, how have I been beneficial to the people around me, how have I solved my problems and the way I react to different situations.
Looking at the number of “I”s in the previous paragraph, perhaps I could do more to help other people. Perhaps I could make my year a better one. Perhaps I could make the year of my friends a better one too.
Now is the time, the only time left for me to make 2010 a better year. Its time to rise up, stop being emotional and start being a person of a great attitude. My attitude should never be determined by the situation that I am facing. Despite of the challenges faced, its really time to move on, time to improve, time to start being a better person.
I want to go to thanksgiving having a multitude of things to thank G0d for. I want to live every single day drawing closer to Him, living for His name.
NOW IS THE TIME!
Christmas is less than 6 weeks away!

It goes on
“In three words I can sum up what I’ve learned about life: It goes on”
- Robert Frost
Into Your courts I run
With praises flowing from my heart
Everyday I wake
I sing Your song
It’s the anthem of my life
I want to spend my days
In Your presence, Lord
Bowed before Your throne
In the house of God
Is where I find my peace
It’s where I find my
Home is Heaven
One day Lord I will live
In Your courts You’ll find me
In worship at Your feet
Hide me now
In the shadow of Your wings
Where I will be
Where I will be
Your love is all I need
So desperately I have sought Your face
I know You hear my every cry
And petition that I make
Jesus
Oh, You are my treasure
What has been done, has been done, no longer can i do anything about it. I just have to face what is needed to and be responsible for all consequences. No matter what happens, life goes on.
“The friend in my adversity I shall always treasure most. I can better trust those who helped to relieve the gloom of my dark hours than those who are so ready to enjoy with me the sunshine of my prosperity”
- Ulysses S. Grant
